There is a bit of smartphones getting that feature with built in liquid cooling system for the battery, so do i really need to buy one that has this feature

IMHO It's more of a joke... most likely it's just a super thin heat pipe with a drop of water in it, moving heat from battery to some other area spreading it over some larger surface.

You have a very basic alternative... cooling battery comes up only because you're using quick charge or whatever is called to charge the battery at high current... charging battery at high currents will warm up the battery.

Just use a more basic charger that can only charge at 1A or some lower current, it will take longer to charge but battery will stay cold.

Regular phone usage is unlikely to cause battery to overheat.

Mostly a gimmick. A lot of those companies are playing with the definition of liquid cooling to make it seem like their implementation is doing more than it really is.

The poco is a great device, especially if you install a custom rom on it. But really, if you cant find it under $220 or something i would recommend a redmi note 8 pro/9s. They have a better screen, battery life, speaker etc. The only downside of the newer redmi devices is the gpu.
