Intel core i3-6100t overclocking

hey guys i would like to know how much can i overclock the Intel core i3-6100t? And how much can i overclock with just air cooling?

That's a low wattage CPU, my guess it (a) it depends on the mobo and (b) probably not by very much.

Oh really? Oh wells lol i had it laying around so i wanted to ask. I had to ask cuz that contradicts this website where someone overclocked it to 4.9ghz.

From what I’ve read, it depends on the motherboard and motherboard manufacturer. And even then it’s getting around conventional overclocking methods, so you’re not even getting a good overclock, let alone stable.

I have a z170 Classified K ATX mobo

Whether EVGA has released non K OC support is unclear to me

 

what is clear is that Intel's dual core silicon quality is way behind the quads, even tho low wattage CPUs tends to be better binned than the bigger wattage ones. I'd say 4.5GHz is a good place to start
