Intel Turbo Boost causing stuttering in games

Hey Everyone,

I have a problem on my laptop due to Intel Turbo Boost. Whenever i play games when my laptop is plugged in, Then all the games which i play

starts stuttering and after a minute or two it becomes unplayable. But when i disconnect the charger then the games start running fine on the battery power which is strange.

I tried some troubleshooting and i found that when i disable the Intel Turbo Boost by setting maximum processor state to 99% in the power options while i am plugged in. Then ,all games start running fine.

Earlier, i didn't have this problem. Can anyone help and tell me why is this happening and can help me fix this?

My specs are: Lenovo Ideapad 530s, Windows 10 1909

                        i5-8250U, 8 GB RAM, 2 GB Nvidia Geforce MX150

Check your temps

Try using ddu

Probably overheating when turbo boost kicks in, causing sudden heavy throttle. Undervolt or redo thermal paste.
