New At2035 isnt working

I just bought an Audiotechnica At2035 as an upgrade from a aokeo AK-60 and i cant get the microphone to work at all, i have a U-phiora UM2 with the phantom power on and still nothing is being picked up by the mic

 

Anybody know what it might be?

It could be the XLR cable, the interface or the microphone itself. Have you checked all the other components with of the old microphone, the interface and the cable? If the old microphone works just fine with the XLR cable and the UM2, the AT2035 might be damaged. Send it back and get a replacement.

If it has no sound at full gain you have a dead mic my friend (provided your setup works fine with the other mic). I'm personally not a fan of the cheap AT mics but if that's what you really want return it and get another.
