I just cannot upgrade from W7 to W10 HeLp

alphaG74

Hi I really need help... I am on a good laptop and I wanted to switch from windows7 to windows 10. It is alright, everything is downloading with the windows média creation tool, awesome. But once the installation starts, it goes to 15% complete to cancelling modifications, and rebooting under windows 7. Then it says i have an error safe _os replicate_oc and the error code is 0x8007001f 0x20006... do you know anything about it? I tried uninstalling antivirus, desactivating firewall, still doesn’t work.. help I am desperate

I would back up your data, and then just reinstall with a fresh Windows 10 USB. You can use that same tool to make a bootable Windows 10 setup drive.

I've never done this before... I just wanted to upgrade because I only have a windows 7 pro product key.I don't have a W10 pro one, and if I install W10 on a Key, it will request this Product key.

Also I've never done a W10 key, does it erases all the memory while I create the key, like it takes the windows 7 out of my computer to the external drive or does it erase all the data while booting with W10? I've already done the backup on another external drive but will it reinstall all the w7 backuped data on the w10 os?

Win10 can be activated with a valid Win7 key.

While you create the USB install medium using the creation tool the USB drive is erased so use an empty one.

First you may try to uninstall antivirus and other programs like that. Probably they prevent your system from upgrade.
