4K editing PC with a $2000 budget

Harry-S

Budget (including currency): $2000

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

Hey

I’m trying to pick parts for a 4k video editing PC. I haven’t build a PC in quite a few years, so would love some input on the parts I have chosen so far. My budget is $2000, but the parts I have chosen comes in at around $1500 to $1600. So I have the budget to make some modifications to the list.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S 55 CFM
Motherboard: Asus Prime X570-P ATX
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600
SSD: Corsair MP510 1.92 TB M.2-2280 NVME (seems like a good value NVME?)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB GAMING X
Power supply: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower

I already have som big HDD.

i suggest with the extra money you opt for a better cpu or gpu. its up to you whether you go for a more powerful cpu or gpu. Do you render your videos using your cpu or gpu or both. (sorry i dont know shit in editing xD). if i were you id go for a better cpu because am guessing it makes a more crucial difference in editing than gpu does but again dont take my word for it idk anything in editing and never have i edited

Good build for OP. You might put a few extra bucks into the GPU cooler, since the Windforce can get pretty noisy. (You might not care, and that's fine.)

Something like an XC Ultra gaming shouldn't cost much more.
