My computer can't run two monitors

I ordered a vga to display port adapter so now for the first monitor i have vga to hdmi and for the second monitor i have vga to display port adapter and everything is working fine

Hi,

I have a problem i used to have only one monitor but i bought a new one the problem is when i plug the second monitor it work for a few minutes then the two monitors shows a black screen (the computer works fine with only one monitor) and nothing works, the computer is still on but nothing on the screen, i have a theory it might be because i use for the two monitors VGA TO HDMI adapter,

If you guys can help i'll be so thankful.

 

monitor 1 : LG FLATRON W1934S

monitor 2 : SAMSUNG SyncMaster B1930

 

PC Specs:

RYZEN 5 1600 without x

SAPPHIRE RX 570 4GB DVI-D ُEDITION

GB A320M S2H

G.SKILL FORTIS (for AMD) 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400

EVGA 600W BR (Less than 1 year old)

It's probably your adapter as you've mentioned. I believe these VGA to HDMI adapters typically only go one way. Meaning you can't send an HDMI signal into it and have it output to a VGA monitor.

So if i changed one of the adapters to vga to display port is that gonna work?

The adapted would have to convert your GPU's connection to the monitors one. The adapter you are trying to use was built to convert VGA to HDMI, not HDMI to VGA. Any adapter that converts the other way around should be fine.
