Using 1070 for compute and igpu as output

When I try to plug my monitor into my mobo it complaints that there is a dedicated gpu in the system and to plug into that. This is a mobo from a prebulit.

What is the prebuilt specs ?

Does the GPU not display an image because of this prompt?

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

i bet its probably a "feature" of the firmware intended so that people don't get their new pc and use shitty integrated graphics for everything.

I'm pretty sure pre builts don't have proprietary firmware for their chipset they won't bother lmao

"prebuilts" as in "took standard components and assembled them" no, but the big OEMs like Dell, HP etc make their own motherboards and firmware.

 

See if you can find an option in the BIOS to keep the iGPU enabled when a discrete one is present, of there's none you're basically SOL.
