1866 MHz memory in H87 motherboard?

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

Most H87 boards were limited to 1600MHz on the memory iirc, so yes the 1866MHz memory you have will work, it's just that you'll have to be running it at 1600MHz most likely.

Is it possible to use 1866 MHz memory in a H87 chipset motherboard?

And if it works does it "downclock" the memory to 1600 MHz?

Thanks in advance!
