Ryzen 3 3100 or ryzen 5 2400

I'm building a pc for non gaming purposes. Mostly focusing on heavy Java programming and compiling code on Eclipse. I want a pc that can multitask to an extent as I am usually running more then one software at a time but I also want tasks to be completed quickly. My question is is it worth it to pay 60 dollars extra for the ryzen 5 2400 or should I go with the 3100.

id try to get a gpu better than that, hunt for used, they will struggle in baic tasks, there much slower than a igpu

i wouldnt buy a gt 710. at this pricepoint you would be better off with an APU, 3200G, 2400G, 3400G.

 

Total cost with APU may be less and it will likely perform better than a GT 710

Multitask? Tbh the best options are older Ryzen 5 6 cores, and then you can pick up a cheap GPU (even used, low performance ones are rarely beaten up as everyone knows they suck) for display
