If you have an external mic. Then you should look at these.

More fun and bassy headphones:

https://www.amazon.com/beyerdynamic-770-PRO-Studio-Headphone/dp/B0016MNAAI

https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50x-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00HVLUR86/ref=sr_1_2?crid=36RKHS7FJKL6P&dchild=1&keywords=ath+m50x&qid=1589978701&sprefix=ath+%2Caps%2C243&sr=8-2

More spacious sound and wider soundstage:

https://www.amazon.com/beyerdynamic-Over-Ear-Studio-Headphones-construction/dp/B010IJ9W1U?th=1

https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-599-Open-Headphone/dp/B01L1IICR2/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2P1A81CXG6QG1&dchild=1&keywords=sennheiser+headphones&qid=1589978756&sprefix=sennheiser%2Caps%2C255&sr=8-4

These would be my choices. Others might think different. My personal favourite are the dt 990 pro or dt 770 pro. They have good soundstage. No stupid 7.1 surround gimmick. And most importantly a fun sound. Audiophiles will most definitly say that a flat and neutral sound is the best. But not really for gaming since you want a fun sound when you are gaming. You don't need an amp if you have a good soundcard on your mobo. Me personally I have an alc1220 on my motherboard. But an amp could be necessary if you want really loud volume. Mine are at 50% and that is enough for me.

PM or DM me if you have any questions about audio.

I would heavily go against the m50x for gaming. It's lack of any Soundstage or imaging prowess makes it stand out for baking awful for the application of gaming. And frankly it's overpriced for what it is.
