Haven' t owned my current cpu for long. Enabled PBO earlier without thinking too much.

 

Tested temps with pbo set to auto today out of curiousity and saw whaaaat?

 

Some quick research suggests that pbo isn't worth switching on, so... maybe I'll keep it auto for a while and see how my game performances go.

 

I'm curious what's others' take on pbo and whether you have it on/off/auto?

Did you only check temps? Do you know what Precision Boost Overdrive does?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Motion sickness from FPS games? Have you tried a higher refresh monitor and turning motion blur off?

Ok well if you're not interested in the performance benefits and prefer the lower temps, or it wasn't delivering enough performance increase for you, then it makes sense to turn it off. But chanhing temperatures isn't really the main function of PBO, just a side effect.

pretty much gave up on fps a while ago. been into soulsborne, mh series and some trpg based games
