How's Anno 1800?

After seeing Linus talk about and show Anno 1800 as a benchmarking/FPS test game, my interest got the best of me and I bought the special edition. (I only did because of the Epic Games sale currently happening.) 

 

If you have played it, I'd like to hear your opinions. Also, please let me know anything I should know before going in.

I'd like to see a somewhat indepth video or stream from Linus on how to play the game lol.
