1080p 144Hz

JMac4

Yes I know this has been answered 100 million times but I’m coming here to get the most up-to-date information in 2020.

over the past few months I’ve gotten all the parts to build my new PC on a Ryzen 5 3600 and MSI B450 Pro Carbon AC and 16GB of Trident Z 3200Mhz Ram. The last part I need is a new GPU and yes the prices right now are astronomical... I’m wondering what the best GPU for me would to run 1080p at 144 Hz? An RTX 2060 Super MSI Gaming X 8GB or an RTX 2070 MSI Gaming Z 8GB.

I would also be willing to be the equivalents in ASUS and EVGA.

I play games such as GTA 5, Modern Warfare, Cyberpunk 2077 (when it comes out). And other similar games

I would say the 2060 would be better. Just look up some YouTube videos and make sure that the performance is where you want it.

Id say look at the Gigabyte RX 5700 XT its $400.00 and you have a bit of wiggle room for OCing. its a AMD Radeon Navi card. so it goes well with the Ryzen 5 3600. Plus you save $100!!!

Infact im using a Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 5700 XT combo right now and im getting 109 AVG FPS on Shadow of the Tomb Raider Benchmark tester at full Ultra settings and thats with not even OCing the card. RAM: 3200mhz 2x8(16GB) T-force TUF Gaming

But most popular titles. will run well above 120FPS depending how depnding the graphics are.

first person shooters you'll most definitely max your monitor out.

My verdict with my setup is pretty damn satisfied. But if your a Nvidia fan boy then id say go with the  Giga RTX 2070 Super for $100 more you'll get a noticeable FPS difference plus Ray tracing yay lol.

the 2070 is faster than the 2060 super and should cost a bit more too.

Of course the 2070, since you don't specify your max budget.

Get a 2070 super, if the price is too high for you then get a RX 5700 xt or if its still too high a RX 5700 again too high then a 5600xt
