Bluetooth Audio Connection Choppy/Glitchy

I bought a pair of bluetooth headphones from Newegg last week. I've been eager to by a pair of bluetooth wireless headphones for use while I'm using my pc.

 

I've tried connecting them to my PC however the audio is extremely choppy. It's completely unusable, it seems like the connection is super slow but I am about 2-3 feet from my pc.

 

I'm thinking the bluetooth receiver on the mobo is shitty or that the bluetooth signal is not able to pass through my monitor (standard LED monitor).

 

Has anyone else experience a similar issue to this? Am I able to try playing with any settings to get this to work? The headphones sound fine connected to my phone via Bluetooth.
