Running CSGO on 240hz monitor but feels like 60hz HELP!!

Hi I'm running CSGO on a Predator 240hz monitor but it feels like it's outputting at low refreshrate. I capped the fps at 240fps since I thought running the game at max fps(500+) is the cause, but unfortunately that' not it.
I have no problem with other FPS games such as Apex Ledends or PUBG.
My Specs

Processor
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070

RAM
16 GB

FYI I installed my game on my m.2 nvme ssd

As I said, I have no problem with other games. My monitor is set to 240hz and I got 400+fps in the game.

CS likes to be weird with refresh rates. Check and see if it’s actually set to 240Hz.

I checked in the console. In the refresh rate section it said 240... I’m stumped...

Maybe weird. But what do you mean "feels like 60Hz"? As in the game reacts slow or the smoothness of the screen is slower than you expect?

Just asking, cause if you mean that the game feels like its reacting slow. Assuming you are playing on valve servers and not FaceIt. The servers have a 64 tickrate.

try 238 maximum as your fps limit, or 230-235 to be save.

The thing is, if you hit 240 fps, then Freesync / G-Sync is "off". The Screen will either tear, or V-Sync will activate, which can cause input Lag.
