i5 9400f vs 9600kf

So I was just wondering if it was worth buying the 9600kf with the 2070 super vs buying the 9400f with 1650 super.

There is a really massive difference between these two, are you replacing an Intel CPU that you already have? Why are the 2070 and 1650 super your main choices?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Not even comparable, these two. I guess the question is not "which one is better" but "which one suits you better"?

You may want to look into an AMD Ryzen 3600, since it is much cheaper and will perform quite nicely in all modern titles. It'll give you some extra room for the graphics card, what is the total budget?

I’ve got a 1000 bucks but would like to have less and could maybe stretch a 100. Since it’s his money and im just building it.

Wait a week and see if the 10th gen i5 10400 would be a better bet than the 9400f, it might be cheaper than the Ryzen 3600 for similar performance. However if it isn't then go Ryzen!

Your mate really doesn't need a 9600k and a 2070 to play those games, he'd be all set with a 2060/super too.

A Ryzen 3 3300X and a 2070 super would fit quite nicely into that budget. The performance has show to be pretty sweet for a gaming focused PC.

Just asking but wouldn't more than 4c/8t from either intel or amd be better for his budget?

Depends, I believe this PC is being built in Brazil judging by the link shared earlier, so I'm aiming for a more conservative budget. If the 3600 fits in the budget then it would be a solid choice, but saving money with the 3300X is definitely also worth it.
