What's the best way to run your PCI-E power cable?

icase81

Just built my new rig and the sleeved power cables that go with it. Basically no matter which way I run the PCI-E cable, it kinda looks like its 'in the way'. What's everyone's opinion the cleanest direction to run this cable? Thanks!

You can use an adapter like this one, to have the power input on the side of the card so you cables don't have to all the way upto the top of your card.

In my opinion, if you have a PSU shroud, you should just run the cable to the bottom of the case.

If that is not an option, I would run it tight along the GPU towards the back.

The pink lines would be my first choice (assuming the shroud cut off kind of lines up with the PCIE cables. The green lines would be my second choices, assuming the cutout for cables kind of line up with the height of the GPU (which does not seem to be the case in this picture I suppose)

No shroud. That's the PSU right above the card there. This is in an mATX setup.  There's about 2" between the card and the PSU, which is enough, but I think with that EVGA adapter, I could probably come right out of the hole above the one its in now and into it. Thanks for the input!

I think this'll be the winner. I just wish it didn't say EVGA on it 🤣 Oh well for $12 I'm not complaining, honestly.
