Is the bequiet straight power 11 650w good for my build

Hi I'm making a build with a 9400f and 2060 super and was wondering if the be quiet straight power 11 650w (114pounds) would be good for my system. Also I'm planning on overclocking the gpu as well if that makes a difference

The Straight Power 11 is a great PSU and 650W is more than plenty.

 

The 9400F uses about 80W and the GPU about 170W. Add around 100W for the rest of the system and you can see 650W is way more than needed.

You could certainly get away with the 550W version too.

Straight Power 550w PSU died on me one time. Smoke, smell and if i wouldnt have been around at that moment, a fire.

Could have been a monday model, but i didnt buy bequiet again after this.

my thought process was that if i get the 650w version then i would be able to upgrade in the future so i was just making sure be quiet was a reliable brand

i have a 9400f and am getting the 2060 super and was wondering if a 550w psu is enough for my build. i am planning on overclocking as well if it makes a difference

How loud a PSU is depends on the PSU, not the wattage. E.g. the EVGA G3 1000W is louder at 80W than the Formula 450W is at 495W. (1760 RPM, 39.6 dBA vs 1479 RPM, 36.9 dBA). Numbers from Cybenetics.

Sure thing never said it not depends on the PSU.

My Straight Power 11 1000W Gold wispers at only 11.8 dBA with 50% load
