Will it work out of the box?

I'm about to buy my first AMD Computer but the motherboard I'm looking to get says, "Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."

The CPU I'm gonna be getting is the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and the motherboard is gonna be the Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) ATX AM4 Motherboard.

So I were for buy that motherboard and cpu, would it work right out of the box?

Although newly manufactured motherboards shipped with the newer BIOS, some old stocks at retailer might still contain the old BIOS.

Check with your vendor to see if they can confirm the BIOS version for you and update the BIOS if necessary.

If that is not possible, there's still the option to request a bootkit directly from AMD with valid purchase receipt.
