How to fix ram speed?

Hey, I just built a new PC with 8gb of 1866 MHz. In the BIOS it says it is running at 1600MHz, and in Speccy it says that it is at 803 MHz. How do I change it in my bios so it reads correctly, and why is Speccy off by so much?

go into the bios set it at 1600 then see what it says, if it says 1600 go back into the bios and change it back to the speed you want. but ram speeds dont make that much of a difference unless your doing allot of edition work

Unless you are stressing your memory it won't be running at high frequencies. Also when you buy high frequency memory its only telling you that it is certified to overclock to that frequency under stock voltages. Just change the frequency and you should be fine.

800MHz is correct. DDR3 is Double Data Rate 3 so the frequency is doubled from the reported number. For getting it to 1866, try going into your BIOS and setting the XMP profile.

You have to change it in the bios. I did with mine.

Ram manufacturers such as Kingston like to advertise their XMP frequencies in their specs. I would go into your bios and enable your XMP profile.

Yeah, my 1600MHz RAM is set to 1333MHz by default in the BIOS. Just change it up.
