will 40-45°C idle temps effect CPU Lifespan?

First of all, sorry If i've posted this in the wrong section, let me know if i have, or if a mod sees this first just delete it. 

 

I recently built this PC and I'm getting rather high idle temps, usually between 40-45°C

I was wondering if anyone knew if this would effect the lifespan of my system? 

I understand that I could improve the airflow in my case by changing the orientation of the fans, but I chose to have them that way round for more pleasing aesthetics.

No it will not affect the lifespan.

You should only start to worry when load temps are above 85-90C.

40*C ~ 45*C is perfectly fine, in fact, that is normal.

If you are idling at say... 60*C+, and 85*C+ under load, that may be concerning.

Nice clean build.

 

But since you have basicly zero airflow, which is bad in general, you just should at add 2 Fans in the front and one in the back as intakes. Not the optimum, but it would get your temps down. Your GPU isnt getting any fresh air either.

And no, this temps will not effect the lifespan of your CPU

Doesn't have fan mounting points on the front of the case.

The rear is fore resivor mount, but people *have* modded the rear of the case to support 80mm fan(s) there.

 

 

@Rayganz have you tried mounting the AIO fans as intake, sucking air into the case?

The bottom of the case can support 3 x 120mm fans; you can consider mounting some intake fans there as well.

Ya. That would work. I would add a dustfilter on the buttom tho. The way its now, hi is sucking all dust possible into the case.

Even running it at 85-90c won’t hurt it.

Yeah i'm considering using the AIO fans as intake, but if 40-45 degrees idle isn't going to hurt lifespan i don't mind it running a tiny bit hotter if that's the case.

No. Intel CPUs max temp is 105C, Ryzen have it at 95C. If you are near those temps for long timespans, like 24/7, then you get into issues. Also running heavy OC for long time causes issues like that, but mainly because of high voltage being supplied.
