Is Red Dead Redemption 2 any good?

GamerBlake

It’s on sale right now for 20% off and I’m wondering if anyone who has played it knows if it’s a good game worth buying? 🤔

Thanks! :)

It's a good game, if you like the genre.

Last I knew, the PC port was still a hot mess that was more-or-less, somewhat, kind-of functioning... sometimes. But that was several months ago, it's possible (likely?) that this has improved.

Gameplay is identical to GTA except it has horses not cars. I've played all rockstar games so I didn't play far into RDR2 coz i'm bored of the rockstar style.

After updating everything, including bios, the game worked well for me within a month of launch.

Yes. Very good. But like all Rockstar Games, it becomes repetitive after some time.

Yes and no.

It is a fantastic game if you like being a cowboy bad guy.

I don't.

I bought it anyway.

I have a system like yours and it is the type of game that can show it off.

Here are my benches at 1440p and 4k with a EVGA XC 2080 ti and a 5ghz CPU using the Hardware Unboxed settings.

It looks fantastic.

It's similar to the first one but more to the tune of GTAV. I don't like any of the 3 games personally I find them extremely boring after a few hours. For the £40 it costs you can get a lot of other games, the witcher 3 was on sale and goes on sale regularly for about £10 with all the DLC which is about 3 games worth of content.  Blood and Wine along could have been a new game with the size of the expansion.

Dirty Windows Peasants :P ?
