Unable to update driver of GTX 1080

So i've been digging around and people with the same issue regarding using a 144hz primary monitor and 60hz secondary monitor all tend to say the issue is being caused when installing a newer driver. and that the solution might be getting another cheaper GPU for the secondary monitor, or getting another 144hz screen as a secondary monitor to solve the issue.

Both seem stupid as hell because it is caused by Nvidia's capability to produce dogshit drivers, not because my hardware was incompatibel to work together. And now the solution for a problem caused by their drivers seems to be to whip out the ol wallet and throw money at it...

Sounds like a bad card. Used 5 1080’s with several monitors and never had an issue. I’d just use onboard if that was the case.

There is a bunch of people having the same issue when using both a 60hz screen and a 144hz one.

The problem started occouring after trying to get new drivers so saying its a bad card seems unlogical

Sounds like the logical solution would be to upgrade from 60hz then. Or don’t use a new driver. Or use onboard. Seems like there’s plenty of options aside from complaining about a driver if you don’t have the skill it means to fix it yourself.
