What cable goes to my GPU

Jiraya

I am building a new computer and the one thing I am not sure of is what cable goes to my GPU?

The gpu is a Zotac 1650 super and it requires a 6 pin but the cable I have at the moment is a 8 pin that goes in the psu that splits up to 2 6 pin

PCI-E cables and maybe the 8 pin could give the GPU too much power?

Thankful for any answers!

Use one of the 6 pins and the other 2 pins plus the extra pigtail 6+2 will just hang out.

Components draw power from the PSU, the PSU doesn't shove power into them.

English is not my native language but then 8 pins in the PSU and 6 pins in the GPU is fine right? Thanks!
