CPU thermal throttles after ram upgrade

Hi

I have just upgraded my ram in my laptop from 8GB to 16GB. My cpu temps were fine before, but now I hit 98 degrees I benchmarking. Any suggestions on what I can do?

How?

 

Did you take your heatsink off or something and try to reuse the same paste?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Nope, I just took the ram-cover off and put the new stick in
