Can I upgrade a Dell Optiplex 745 for less than 50$?

I wanted to buy parts to build a pc but I think I'm gonna upgrade my old PC. 

 

Its a Windows XP professional Dell optiplex 745 with Intel Pentium D inside.

you could get a q6600 and a 750ti and go up to 8gb of ram with an SSD.

It isn't though going to run modern games well. that could run windows 10 or more likely linux

with 6-8gb of ram a core 2 quad yeah.

 

all down to deals. a q6600 should be 10-15 cad. I would pay more than 60$ cad for a 750ti. I don't know your ram config but ram will be 10-30 cad mattering on what you have.

 

you could put windows 10 or linux.

Is anyone is selling? I have 20$ total saved up right now I'm looking to get 4-8gb of ram and I don't have much money

I'm going to see if I can upgrade my ram and I'm going with the 750ti. Also is there a wifi adapter I can get for cheap?

all the cheap wifi stuff is USB I'd really recommend an Ethernet cable over them.

Also I can't use Ethernet because I can't run a cable all the way through my house.

Hmmm I'll have to check tomorrow what the ram is.

 

(Edit) the price of the ram on Amazon you just linked is over 30$ minimum without the extra 10$ shipping

so if it works then there is some. open it up or open up task manger and see how much ram.

for gaming on windows you'll want 6-8 but if you willing to use linux you could probably use 4-6gb
