What was the first video game you ever played?

ViruZ_HUN

Smash Bros. Melee

I wasn't allowed to play games that much as a kid but I did play a lot at friends houses so I played some of the N64 version but when I got my hands on Melee, oh man oh man. The hours put into that was ridiculous. I still prefer it over Smash Brawl, and Smash 4, but I still play them when I'm hanging out with friends.

Pokemon Silver might be another one.

Again wasn't allowed to play games much so I didn't have a Gameboy Color, so I just used an emulator on my PC. I still love it, but now I can't handle looking at it because of the pixels, when using an emulator haha. Of course there is Soul Silver, but DS emulation feels clunky and I don't want to drop the money for one..

Played through Pokemon Silver a countless number of times.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on Mega Drive/Genesis, I was 5 at the time, I've worked it out, and after nearly 22 years, I've probably put close to 20,000 hours into that game, I still play it even now.
The earliest game I can definitely remember playing though was Sonic the Hedgehog 1, and I was 4 when I first played that.
I may have played some commodore 64 games, but I only have vague memories of that, and I certainly don't recall the names of the games on that system.

I guess as a whole it would have to be [ River Raid ] on Atari , as for the PC, [ Rex Nebular and the cosmic gender bender ] was one of the first games I loved , still have it , installed, and for now, stuck the same place I was stuck some 21 years ago when I first played it, although I did finish it a few times ... a friend of mine had [ Parallax ] on his Amiga and I played it once only, it was great, I tried to look for it in XP days but even then it's resolution was just too damn low, can't imagine today

I grew up playing Sega Mega Drive so:

Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Altered Beast.

And then Shinning Force was an absolute game changer.

As a teenager I had the privilege of finding Final Fantasy 7, which in my opinion should easily be credited as one of the greatest games ever made.

A far rarer game that I think deserves waaaaay more attention is the Suikoden series.

I can't really just give it to just one game. There are a few that have to be mentioned.

Skyrim.

I don't know why I like this game among other RPG's, but I just can't get enough.
