IDE to AHCI Blue screen

Hi, I am having a problem with my pc, I have Sata operation mode in BIOS to IDE, which I found out, this is slowing my drives...I tried to switch to AHCI but Windows just does blue screen: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE...so I took some research; if you schedule safe mode on the next boot via CMD and before booting you set SOM to AHCI and then you boot to Windows, schedule safe mode=0, reboot and it should work just fine. The other option is to reinstall Windows, which I don't wanna do.

 

Is the first option possible for my issue to fix?
