Hello, I built this pc about four years ago. I upgraded from a gtx 970 a few years ago and have noticed significant performance issues since then. I have never had the time to fully sit down and fix my computer with work and school at the same time. Now with quarantine I want to get back to gaming.

CSGO: Average frame rate is 70 (playing on a low resolution as well)

Call of duty modern warfare average framerate is 55

Rust average framerate is 40

Escape from Tarkov average framerate is 45

Dayz average framerate is 70 (suprising for me)

Rocket League average framerate is 120

I don't understand why some games like CSGO have an extremely low framerate. I completely wiped my hard drive recently and reinstalled the newest drivers while using ddu to uninstall old drivers. Im really about to give up on PC gaming. It feels like such a headache.

Is your hardware thermal throttling? What resolution do you typically game at? CSGO shouldn't be that low.

No thermal Throttle. I typically play at just 1920 by 1080 because frames get dropped higher than that. GPU temps sit around 70C and CPU temps sit around 60C.

Sounds like your CPU is throttling. CSGO should be at 300-400fps. Double check to make sure the cooler is making proper contact with it. Report back if you can with Speeds during gaming and such of the CPU and GPU.

I'd be interested in the CPU and GPU usage when gaming, to determine where the bottleneck is.

What are is you CPU/GPU clock speed on full load while gaming? Those temps shouldn't be in thermal throttling range.

I would simply do a full reinustall of Windows and driver and you can leave your game libraries on a separate drive.  That performance is atrocious for that setup,

Can you get your hands on replacement components?  ANother GPU and CPU to test?

If your temps are that low and you reinstalled fully... BIOS is default I assume as well... I suck at this stuff, sorry.

I have a 970 laying around somewhere. However, I just tested my performance in game and Im using 98% of my GPU and only 73% of my Cpu. Temps didn't get above 55c once on my cpu either.

One thing weird I did notice is that something called commit charge in MSI afterburner is at 21405 mb I have no Idea what that means though.
