Motherboard bios update

So im upgrading my 8400 to 9600kf (traded) and i have to flash my bios (msi z370-a pro) do i flash the newest version and does it come with previous changes or do i have to flash every one individually

You can just flash the newest one, you don't have to update one by one.

You should be able to just flash to the new one. If any issues arise then you can try the other way.

So newest one comes with all previous changes? Im just confused how doesnt the file size get exponentially igger

I don't know enough about BIOS coding to answer why the file doesn't get exponentially bigger, but I think it is because they are usually fixing something, and when they do add support for new CPUs it probably doesn't take that much more space. Regardless, yes the newest one comes will all of the previous changes.
