Hi im trying to find the BEST intel processor for cheap

If you absolutely cannot live without an Intel CPU for some reason, get the i5-9400F.

 

For all other intents and purposes, get a Ryzen.

Well the i5-9600k makes the most sense, it is the best within budget.

What motherboard do you have/ are getting? If you own one already this could change what you can get.

If you have to go Intel then I'd wait until Intel releases their new line.  If you can that is.  You can get the current CPUs cheaper then or spend about the same and get a better CPU.  Better in terms of threads.

I believe @Real pigowl covered that concept with his meme earlier.  There actually are decent intel CPUs.  The problem is they’re ridiculously overpriced.

In this case “the most sense” means the smallest though still fairly large amount of nonsense”. “Most” is a relative term.  There are actually one or two intel CPUs that make a little bit of sense... in the $500 range.  Everything else is weak though.  There was hope intel would see the light and pull its thumb out.  What seems to have happened is it doubled down and jammed the other one in.  Even Apple is now looking to dump intel even though they don’t really have a good CPU to do it with.   It’s that bad.

Well given the $220 budget an OP's refusal to go AMD it is the "most logical" choice lol, but not what I would recommend obviously.
