The box cooler with the 3700x is much better that the H212, so there's no reason to buy that. The pre-applied thermal paste isnt great, so good call on picking a tube up. However, i'd buy artic silver 5.

The motherboard, while cheap, isnt capable of much more sauce than your 3700x can pull. I would *personally* upgrade it. See the motherboard tier list for a better option.

Why 2 SSD's? I would personally extend to a single 2TB 660p unless there's something I'm missing. B&H has it at the same price as your 2 drives combined.

That case, though a looker, appears to have 0 consideration to thermals. I wouldn't buy it.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

The Hyper212 is about the same as the box cooler on the 3700x its just quieter.

I just used it on a 3800x for a week while waiting for my NZXT H1 to come in and it was fine. The amd box cooler I got had large differences in height on the heat pipes.

This mobo is legit garbage, you deserve something better with $160.

Swap with something else like x570 tuf gaming or asrock steel legend or just wait for the x570 tomahawk from msi

went for the asrock legend i also went for just 1TB ssd as im gonna also take my old hard drive and put it in my new one which is 1tb as well
