New PC turns off when gaming

Windows: latest version (don't know how to check but my updates window says so after looking for updates)

BIOS: 7C02v35 (latest version)

Operating System: Windows 10 64bit

AMD drivers: 20.4.1

 

Specs:

GPU: XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT Thicc III Ultra

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 6x 3.60GHz, boxed 

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200, CL16-18-18

Mainboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

Monitor: Acer XF0 XF270HUAbmiidprzx, 27" (UM.HX0EE.A01)

PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 500W ATX 2.4

Case: Phanteks Eclipse P350X 

SATA: Crucial MX500 1TB, SATA

 

I enabled X-AMP in Bios and put the Ram at 3200

 

 

I just finished building my PC a week ago and when gaming (Battlefield 5, Star Wars Jedi Fallen order, ...) sometimes the PC just turns off. At first I thought it was cause the GPU ran too hot, so I bought more fans to where it stays at around 70 degrees when playing. But the problem still happens. No error message, nothing. The PC just immediately shuts down. Is it cause of my PSU having only 500W? I used the be quiet watt calculator and it told me I need 450 max. so I got a 500W. I have no idea what the problem could be. Thanks.

Did you oc the gpu? It could be unstable oc

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

MEMORY          : Team Group Elite TUF DDR4 3600 Mhz CL 16
STORAGE         : Seagate Baracudda 1TB and Kingston SSD
PSU             : Thermaltake Lite power 550W (Gonna change soon as i dont trust this)
CASE            : Rakk Anyag Frost
CPU COOLER      : ID-Cooling SE 207
CASE FANS       : Mix of ID cooling fans, Corsair fans and Rakk Ounos (planned change to ID Cooling)
DISPLAY         : SpectrePro XTNS24 144hz Curved VA panel
MOUSE           : Logitech G603 Lightspeed
KEYBOARD        : Rakk Lam Ang

HEADSET         : Plantronics RIG 500HD

Kingston Hyper X Stinger

 

and a whole lot of LED everywhere(behind the monitor, behind the desk, behind the shelf of the PC mount and inside the case)

I had the issue I described above, and then I undervolted and overclocked the GPU cause I thought that might fix it, but that didn't fix it so I just put it back to its standard configuration.

Do you get a BSOD or does it just turn off immediately?

It just turns off immediately. And when I boot back up it takes a long time.

I feel like saying psu but I'm not an expert. As you said you under voltaged the gpu and that didn't make a difference. 

Do you have any old hardwear so that you can test components to see if they are just failing under heavy loads? Or maybe stress test individual components to see what happens?

We have similar systems. My profile is a bit outdated if you look at it (no Aorus X470, using an B450 tomahawk max, and upgraded the 1600X to 3600).

 

The CPU can get quite warm. Have you checked your temperatures under load (using AMD Ryzen Master)?

Are you running the latest chipset drivers from amd?

Sometimes an overheating power supply due to malfunctioning fan can cause can cause a computer to shutdown while playing games. I will recommend you to check your processor for this problem.

If you didn't download from there, you probably don't have the latest.

installed it now, i think i didnt have that before (i only downloaded the stuff from the msi website about my mobo) thx

You can check your PSU by using a combination of Prime95 (Blend test) and Furmark. Or the PSU test inside the software named OCCT.

Or the stability test in 3DMark, but that doesn't load the system as much.

If the PSU is too weak, the PC will turn off. If it overheats, it will also turn-off.

I tried OCCT but didnt get it to work (no idea why), so I did prime95 and furmark at the same time. Prime95 got my CPU to 100% usage and about 90 degrees, and Furmark got my GPU to 67 degrees. The PC didn't shut down, though. This is what Furmark gave me:
