Thermal throttling is cpu related?

Hi.

 

Months ago i read an article that said thermal throttling is a cpu related thing inside the cpu core since 3rd gen core - Ivy bridge, but i cant confirm that because i dont remember the article, now im using windows 8, and whant to know if i can disable disable thermal throttling tweaking registry or dll extension.

 

now my cpu is 87 deg.in game and starts throttling but i put a fan but even at 80 deg. the cpu is throttling anyways.

 

Cpu throtle is inside cpu and activate the throttle or is a O.S. thing.?

If you're thermal throttling that is not a good thing and you should sort out your cooling situation.

The only option in my bios is "Intel thermal framework bla bla manager" , and is disabled. And even disabled the cpu is throttling.

 

My cpu is at 80 degrees in gaming. There is no option to set an min - max umbral of temps.

You should reapply your thermal paste or look into a new cooler. High temps can damage your CPU.
