story driven game recommendations

hello guys,hope you are doing fine today.

sorry for my English.

I am looking for new games to buy and would like to get recommendations for some good story-driven games.

I am playing mainly jrpg but like anything with good story.

games I liked for reference: ace combat 7, tales of series, shining resonance, valkyria chronicles.

western releases I liked: BioShock, dishonored, ryse son of Rome, spec ops: the line, vampyr, vampire: the masquerade

so far, story wise, the games i kinda liked is some of the assassins creed games (especially black flag. that one is  and at the same time)

Metro series where you can change the ending depending on your choices and actions

Upcoming Dying light and Watchdogs where the story, gameplay and character will change depending on your choices and actions

DragonAge series (my favorite is inquisition) the first game , story wise is the best

mass effect series is great too. 

 

 

 

Gameplay wise, Titanfall and titanfall II is  (i liked anthem's gameplay but it sucks in everything else)

DragonAge i actually own a digital copy for inquisition but never played it yet,ill give it a try.

i never really liked assassin creed don't know why.

mass effect and metro series i think ill give them a chance since the old games are pretty cheap right now.

If i remember correctly. They released a pc version. I think its in epic games.

I can't think of one for PC, but one that I did like back in highschool was Persona 3 (the portable version) it does have quite a nice story and a linear too, so your choices won't impact the end

You will not find a better Story Driven Game atm.

Even SideQuests put many Mainstories of other Games to shame.

if you dont mind the change in gameplay for each one dragon age all 3 titles are great. and dragon age 3's Tresspasser DLC will have you foaming at the mouth after playing all 3 b2b and then seeing the ending of that dlc.

If you're into jRPGs, and have an eye on Grandia 2: Try Grandia 1 first. I liked it more, story wise (classic "going on an adventure" setting.

All Final Fantasy games (especially 10 and below).

 

GBA / Emulator: Golden Sun 1+2 are Gems.

 

Life is Strange maybe.

Mass effect series.

eye divine cybermancy.

fallout new Vegas & fallout 3. 

 

I am playing endless sky right now. It’s not so cinematic. 

 

Enslaved: odyssey to the west is good but on steam it was terrible frame rate consistency & I felt like vomiting the whole time. Fun tho.

Ghost of a tale is REALLY good. 

GTA if you’re into it. 

Half life series

 

homefront is okay if you like cod knock offs. 

 

Mad max

Metal gear solid 5.

Shadow of Mordor.

i was playing this mobile port “the walking zombie 2” which was good but I got mad when I wave defense glitched & stopped spawning stuff. 

 

Dawn of war (original, winter assault & dark crusade. Don’t play soulstorm for campaign, don’t touch 2 nor 3. DON’T TOUCH DAWN OF WAR 3!)

i actually thought about buying life is strange a couple of times on steam sales and never bought it for some reason, how would you rate the series?

i have a actually tired nier automata and didn't liked it, any way a plague tale seem amazing, ill buy it when ill see it on a sale.

and dragons dogma seem like its worth a shoot.

i actually have 2 of the game in the Arkham series ,decent games, i really like the fight mechanic and the AI mechanic, ill buy some more from the series when it will go on sell.

as for jedi fallen order it is actually on my wish list but it way to expensive right now. ill have to wait a couple month to buy it in a decent price.
