GTX Titan black Review single/dual/triple/quad - 4K UPDATE

LOLPhilips

Here are some first benchmarks with the GTX Titan black:

The Benchmarks are run in a single/dual/triple and quad configuration

and adress several games (in serveral resolutions) and a few GPGPU benchmarks

original source: http://us.hardware.info/reviews/5231/nvidia-geforce-gtx-780-titan-black-4-way-sli-review

4K source: http://us.hardware.info/reviews/5244/nvidia-geforce-gtx-titan-black-+-234-way-sli-in-ultra-hd--4k-review

Well as expected it runs almost similar to the 780TI in games.

But its the double-precision FP benchmarks in which it "outshines" its gaming equivillant

Updated with 4K benchmarks

Wow, thanks for the benches! Awfully quick! Anyway, this was as expected for me. Pretty normal overclocking, basically a 780ti with the GPGPU performance and 6gb of Vram. Surprising to see it lose to the 290x in some cases.

Same core, more vram on the Titan. Thats the only difference.

FYI, no plans for aftermarket Titan Blacks- reference design only. These are also available in highly limited numbers so it won't be on the shelf for long- Q3 possibly before GTX 800 series. No EVGA step-up at the time.

Lastly, my dual KPEs bitch slap those SLI results :D

Wow this is awesome! Now 4k surround should be a way more viable option for people that like 60 FPS.

GTX TITAN IS NOT MENTIONED FOR GAMING ITS JUST A SIMPLER APPROACH FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSUMERS NOT GAMERS

Real programmers don't document, if it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

It's intended for the best of both worlds, a "middle-man" so to speak.

It's for the armature film/3DFX/photo enthusist as well as the gamer. A youtuber of a gaming channel is a great example: good gaming performance and less of diver limitations (ie higher compute performance for video processing).

The pros are going to go for a pro grade product.

780Ti and GTX Titan Black looks similar in performance...

Probably because they are exactly the same. The only difference being the Titan Black has double point float precision calculation and the 6GB of memory. They are the same chip.

Boring, just another high price nividea product that really isn't bringing anything new to the table. Not to mention will probably rip of people for when 800 series comes out with better performance at cheaper costs. One card to game and render on, personally i would rather have a gaming machine, and a render machine. Its like spork vs a fork and a spoon. Sure you get the best of both worlds, but its not nearly as good at either task then a dedicated card.

My two cents

I feel like this needs to be posted in size 48 font at the top of every forum topic related to the Titan.
