Toshiba Portege R500 won't boot to Windows 7 Install CD

Hey Guys

I'm trying to install Windows 7 onto my parents Toshiba Portege R500. I'm having some issues though.

Whenever I have the Windows 7 CD in the CD drive and then boot from the CD Drive it just freezes and does nothing. The computer boots fine to a Windows XP Install CD but doesn't boot the Windows 7 CD. There's nothing wrong with the Windows 7 CD as it boots fine on my computer.

Any help would be appreciated.

try using the windows 7 usb disk utility

Unfortunately that didn't help. Anything else I can try?

Does the laptop have a dvd drive? Does it see the disc in bios and then allows you to hit any key to start the install?

I solved it by using Power ISO and then running the startup.exe
