Xeon X5670, 6c12t @ 2.93GHz, pretty decrepid by todays standards. GTX1050 2GB and 42GB of ECC DDR3.

No misery though, it's quite a beasty machine considering it's 10 years old.

I have a respectable desktop but I also run some older (or in one instance newer but lower end) laptops.  One is a 2630QM + 6770m.  Runs games great if you stick to things from ~2011 and older.  I also have a Celeron N3350-based 2-in-1.  I estimate the CPU at 2006 mid/high end desktop equivalent and the iGPU at (and this is much less accurate) somewhere around 2001.  Gaming is nearly out of the question on it but I do have a few titles that run on it.  I find the trick with getting the most out of limited hardware is to pick era-appropriate titles rather than trying for the latest AAA and just cranking the settings down.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I'm not sure if this counts: dual Xeon E5-2680 (Sandy Bridge 8C/16T) and RX 480 8GB. This same machine also have 128GB RAM and 1TB NVMe boot drive though, so maybe not?

Or my old laptop, Core 2 Duo T7600, 3GB DDR2 RAM and GeForce Go 7300 64MB. This machine was a 2004 Dell that is upgraded to its absolute maximum.

Imagine if you will, a Dell Optiplex 780 with 750 GB HD, 4x2GB RAM, a core 2 quad 3ghz, AMD R7 240 2GB GC. The GC was $10 on Craigslist. I got another beefier XFX radeon HD 6870, too but my optiplex's psu isn't equipped with 2x6pin power cables :/ just found a PC in a Dumpster and the fans spin up when I power it up, but no display output through any GC...

I kinda am. I barely play games, my brother uses my gaming pc way more than I do, but if I do it's older games that run fine on older hardware.

I used to play on a Q9550 OC'd to 3.6ghz (could go higher but ran into mobo issues), 8gb of ram and an R9 290X.

I only have the i3 8100 machine I have now because a friend of mine didn't need his Z370-P anymore and said I could buy it from him for €20. I bought the i3 used for €80, and that was the base for my new machine. it's serving me very well. my brother plays rainbow six siege and this rig is doing very well in that game.

and my 12 yearr old laptop when i use it I feel like some one is rubbing a cheese grinder in my eyes cause of 800*600 resolution and low fps and bad graphics with no textures and render distance that could barely reach a yard in front of me and still lagging roblox 10fps
