Two monitors with different refresh rates?

I'm wondering what would happen if you had a low to mid range graphics card, like an RX 580 or GTX 1650, and used a 144 or 160hz monitor for gaming and a 60hz monitor for other stuff. Would there be any problems between the two monitors? Someone once told me that sometimes the computer has problems figuring out that the two monitors have different refresh rates...

The GPU drives monitors on different outputs independently so it wouldn't be a problem unless you use a splitter perhaps. If you use AMD Eyefinity or Nvidia Surround then the faster screen will probably be held back to the slowest monitor's refresh rate. I guess....

 

So nothing would happen apart from what is happening here on my rig, one monitor is 75Hz and one 65..  😃
