Looking for a type of server cable?

ZeusXI

So I am not sure exactly where I should post this kind of topic. But I have this Fireguard XTM 5 series 515 and I am wondering if there is some sort of RJ45 like cable that converts to a USB or to my ethernet port or something. Not exactly sure how to get a connection from it, as this would be my first time using a console port as a side project.

Here is the link for it as well as an image for what im asking for

It's called a rollover cable and connects to a serial port on your computer.

Oh cool! So is there something like that, but connects via a usb? I dont think I have any computer laying around that has that adapter on the left

unless its the port that says IOIOI A? I do have a computer with something like that.

Check the manual and see if those USB ports can be used for management, my FortGate does for example and also has the serial console port.

Otherwise you'll need a USB to serial adapter or as mentioned above one that directly converts to USB.

Always been a fan of Statech. Got lots of adapters for them, and willing to pay a little more just for the quality
