Thermal paste on cpu pin

So i have thermal  paste on my  pins if the cpu and idk how to remove  it but  does it effect performance?

Clean it off the best you can and try it, however in truth it's not going to hurt anything.

As long as the system itself starts it's fine, you won't see any drop in performance.

Use a soft bristle tooth brush and gently wipe the TIM away.

Don't push, just lightly sweep and let the bristles do the work. 

Be sure Soft. No chemical needed.
