Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

This event has ended and I recommend you guys head over to the Folding Community Board for any general folding conversation.

Finding a cure for this seems like pretty big deal and badge worthy imo anyways

Although on first glance this would make sense, you have to understand that the only folding events that are directly endorsed by LMG are the folding months. This is technically not a forum folding event, it is a community folding event. And that is why it is not eligible for the folding event badges. And tbh I prefer it this way, if you could hit gold in a year then what's the point?

F@H servers as of a couple of hours ago now have Work Units to run. (They had been overloaded with the massive influx of new F@H clients.)

They are now emailing out passkeys as that server had been down too.
I have been getting back-to-back Work Units for COVID.

They definitely had some scaling issues with compute to get the Work Units created and Storage to accept finished WUs.

But it all seems to be online now.

Don't wait for the competition... Get folding now so we can get a vaccine faster. Hours count as people are dying.

@GOTSpectrum In Five days we've gotten nearly double the views and nearly the same amount of requests as the original Folding Event 2018. Really shows the growth of these events even if it's not in an official capacity!

I do wonder if the GPU workloads are doing COVID work. The description doesn't ever populate. I do think it's doing generic folding using openMM and is helping research in general but I don't know if it directly helps the search for the protein fold for COVID.

I am worried about that too - as I've been getting them a lot.

I have to assume it's the server being swamped and the packet receive timeout. Thus zero bytes.

I also worry about accepting jobs when the server is swamped. Later in my log the server dumps the result. Granted it was during this run that I added my passkey so maybe that corrupted the job.

21:19:52:WU02:FS00:Upload 26.52%

As a reminder you need to set your FAH client to Fold for team LTT, 223518, to be counted in the event. There are people who have entered who are not folding under the team so won't appear in the stats tracking.

its fine to change the team on march 27, right?
