Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

This event has ended and I recommend you guys head over to the Folding Community Board for any general folding conversation.

If buy "few" you mean more than 20% of your total, then yes, you will not get QRB until you reach 80.1% (or basically more than 80%) success rate.

It was 3 WUs out of 348 WUs. I still haven't figured what the problem was since it's solved by itself. Ofc i used the same username, password, otherwise i couldn't get low points from 22-23 March. Anyway, ppd is normal now.

the Passkey is optional but recommended

AFAIK passkey is required for points to count towards a team. Also you're only going to get 10 times fewer points without one.

Yeah, nothing for you to worry then if you have only 3 dropped WUs.

Nope. You do not need passkey nor username for your points to count towards team.

Also @REDYul specifically said that it is not required but it is recommended.

Weird,

Just removed my OLD GPU, restarted now F@H and now it does not find my GPU.

it only wants to run on my CPU!

Un-install/re-install, but the same... in Configure when I add a GPU, it blink and nothing?

Then i reset manually the config.xml and now OK!!!

supper weird

Well didn't win anything but placed 184th overall, not bad for my first time folding :) closing in on 27million right now. Due to rise of power bill i had to scale back to just the one intel with dual video cards running 24/7. Power bill sky rocketed last month lol

Yeah I cut back a lot too, about 370k points per day average lately... Although F@H ate my 3 WUs from the 25th, nowhere to be found still... and a big 270K one yesterday was lost to "server didn't like results" :(

Anyway just passed 53M...

My one buddy had to remove all slots, then re-add the GPU and then it took it, after that he added his CPU and things were happy again.

If your running Windows, either restart or kill the FAHClient.exe process (will be listed under Backgroun processes) and then start the Folding@Home app.

I had the same when I updated my version of the FAH client.

I just got some weird bug but i manage to solve it..i think. So i'm gonna post here in case someone has the same problem.

So i fresh install windows 10, let it finish updating and all. Then when i installed the latest fah client, it doesn't show any of my gpu. System info gpu: 0. After tried different drivers and still didn't work, i tried the previous version of it and finally able to add 2 gpus. After that just install the latest one over the previous and it's good to go.

Here's the link in case anyone need.

Are you choosing COVID-19 only? If so it might be that there are insufficient WUs at times.

Hello guys.

I joined the Folding battle last month Been improving my folding as days passed.

My main folding rig has a GTX1060 and a GTX660, with a i3 2120T (35W). The i3 might be underpowered for moving work from/to the GPU's, CPU is not folding. I'm investigating, have a i5 (77W) laying around I can easily swap. I'm targeting a relatively high PPD with low power usage, Is currently running on a Corsair 500w.

I'm also folding in when my Gaming rig idle. (GTX 1080). I'll probable stop folding on it when I receive a a mining 1060 (P106-90 ) is on transit from china.

Trying I'm only GPU folding and trying to keep electric bill under control.

Mwahaha!  Hearing about everyone trying to keep their electric bills in check and I'm over here with an electric car I'm not driving anymore -- I just replaced my car charging bill with a "running my PC full bore 24/7" bill.  Shockingly, they are comparable -- about $40 a month for me.  Barely even noticed a change in the bill.

BTW, GIVE YOUR CPU TO BOINC, everyone!  Your GPU can keep folding unless you want to switch it over to BOINC for the javelin throws, but F@H barely awards anything for CPUs whereas BOINC primarily uses them (and barely uses GPUs).  Team LTT needs you!!!

Odd.  My cpu is getting more action on f@h than my gpu is.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

I do, but I’ve had gpu stuff from f@h too.  More gpu than cpu though apparently both.  I haven’t checked it in a few hours.

AMD (ati) NAVI cards (VEGA, RX 5700, RX 5700XT) were not compatible with Folding Core21's however the switch to Core22's added support for these.
