SO's father presented with a low grade fever and his typical smoker's cough 7 days ago. No other symptoms. Was tested two days ago and it came back positive. He was so certain he didn't have it and was somewhat argumentative but it affects everyone differently.

I am assuming he was talking about the standard we do with the common cold, its just hard to know exactly what it is now.   Best to be extremely careful

Yeah, he was complaining about being locked in the bedroom with central heat turned off to prevent spread to the rest of the family. Can't be too safe.
