I reinstalled F@H and it fixed no end of issues I was having.

 

Just give your PC a restart between uninstalling and reinstalling, just in case.

 

Once I had reinstalled it, put in my code again etc it has run perfectly, bar waiting ages for WUs at times.

 

Don't worry if it doesnt work right away, give it time, then a reinstall, it will work eventually.

 

Worked fine for me all day and I am getting the errors about no assignments now, just so many people helping out!

Does it not use CPU at all? I have an R7 and R9 and I was hoping to be able to put  them to good use

It does, I reinstalled my F@H and got a CPU WU right away after reinstall and putting in my code again.

 

Had another one after but none for the last couple of hours.

my first fold was entirely handlet by my cpu the second one is now running with my gpu only. is this weird or normal? my second rig is running on my old gtx 670 too right now xD

Shouldn't need to. The servers are just being hit REALLY hard by all of us trying to help. Also, trying to get new WU's very very often is worse for the overall good, we are effectively DDOSing them. If it has been over 30 minutes with no CPU job, just go into the advanced control and pause the CPU, wait a minute or two, then start it again. That will kick it to try and find a new server. But repeatedly trying just clocks their system up more.

 

Be patient, and leave the clients open and running. It will work.... They are working very very hard trying to keep up with all of us offering help.

 

To put this in perspective, before all of this, they had ~30k active users. A few nights ago they reported +400k users....... Thats more then 10x, it wouldn't surprise me if they are up to +600k which would be 20x.... They were not ready for this, but they are working as hard as possible to get the server back end stabilized as well as get WU's for us all to crunch on.

The client runs a job on each. Typically, both will be busy, but right now per my comment right bellow your's, they are just being SLAMMED. look at my response right bellow yours to CB_J_IRacing

I went into advanced and assigned as many threads I thought I could get away with but didn't pause so I'll try that now but I'm sure once LTT gets their server going for them we should be better

So thats my error code from what i can see both our clients try to contact the same server which makes sense since im also from germany so my guess is that the server is just down at the moment

You want to leave a thread for windows and a thread for every GPU client you have. So if you have 1 GPU in your system, and you have a 8 thread CPU, set it to 6 :).

 

The most important is the GPU since it does the heavy lifting. You don't want it being starved for data by a over worked CPU.
