Overclocking 165hz to 240hz

MrCloudHD

So my monitor (Sceptre E255B-1658A) can overclock to 240hz via NVIDIA Control Panel.

My question was:
If I overclock my monitor by that much, besides the monitor life-span, what are some other negative things with overclocking it that far?

NEXT QUESTION:
Will there be blurriness or "smearing" when overclocked that far?

By the way, my monitor doesn't have "hiccups" using the overclock.

there might me issues with latency being too high for that refresh rate. so you may encounter ghosting and smearing. if that happens, see if increasing the overdrive helps. if you increase it too much, it MIGHT introduce inverse ghosting but its not always going to happen if you overclock

The monitor's refresh rate (Hz) via NVIDIA Control Panel.

Your monitor is at 165Hz.

I wouldn't suggest OC'ing it that far.
