Your build seems good so it has something to do with the games itself, since your benchmark scores are so good. 

In games does your games start with good fps, or is the fps bad from the start

Do NOT put more than 16gb ram in minecraft, it will create stutters, since normal minecraft does not really use more than 8gb (well in some heavy situation it might)

Something off topic my pc takes like all my 16gb ram only for mc so need to get more, fast explanation im a mod and server fan

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Threadripper reviewers found issues with the CPU not being FULLY Level when inserted and bolted in.

 

CPU may need reseating.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
