My cats keep chewing my PC cables

Does anyone else out there have cats that chew cables connected to their computers? My cats have chewed through two HDMI cables, my mouse cable, and three pairs of earbuds. I have no idea how to keep them away! Any tips?

spray something that smells bad on it.. just be careful

Hot sauce on cables, my cousin did that on his arms when his dog would lick him a ton, he was trying to train the dog for hunting.
