Could use some advice for I9-X series with 2x GPU - Water Cooler

ZagTech

Hello everyone,

I have a pretty complex project that I am trying to wrap my head around. If someone could give me some advice or case studies, it would be helpful.

In short...

I need to build an AR system that will be using:

- i9-9900X with water cooling

- 2x RTX 2080 with liquid cooling, RTX NV LINK is a must

- Motherboard with water cooling ideally - if I can't make this happen, I'll swap to standard boards.

The challenge is the case to fit all this. I don`t mind going custom built cooling or close loops. Ideally, I need to fit all this into a rugged desktop cube that would play around 14" W x 15" D x 13" H. I say ideally because if I must go bigger, than I will but if I can make it happen within these specifications, then that's the best scenario.

Anyone ever did something similar that worked?

I appreciate your time

Thanks!

AR = augmented reality?

X299 systems are so niche in things they are good for though, I doubt you'll find anyone doing something like this with this platform. Z390 then maybe. also Intels next gen is rumored to offer 10 cores making the 9900X a more stupid gamble (that it performs well for the money) today.

one thing to keep in mind for a system with this much watercooling is radiator support. If you're going to cool 2 gpus, cpu, and mobo, i'd suggest 2x360mm rads (which probably wouldn't fit your size requirements) or 3x240mm rads. one case that comes to mind is thermaltake core v21 which could fit 2 gpus and 3 240mm rads

Thanks Derrk

After simulating ideas and with the information I managed to collect. I will try to push for a bigger form factor. Today, I`ll look at the V21!

Thanks :)
